Asia Startup Summit 2023 in Singapore

Dirox had the privilege of attending the Asia Startup Summit 2023, presented by The French Chamber in Singapore in partnership with Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Team France Export, Bpifrance, and La French Tech. The summit aimed to foster innovation by promoting collaboration between startups and large corporates in the rapidly changing business environment.

The event was held on Thursday 20 April 2023, at the Sheraton Towers in Singapore, and brought together key players in the industry, including the French Ambassador in Singapore Ms. Minh-di Tang, Thomas Baudlot, President of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore-Caroline Guyot, ENGIE Factory Managing Director, Laurent Olmeta CEO CMA CGM Asia Pacific Limited, Rupa Balsekar, Managing Director & Head Transaction Banking for BNP Paribas, Darren Yoon, Founder of AQUAPOWER, Moderated by Brice Degeyter, Founder and General Manager for Bizsu.

The summit was divided into two themes: Resources of the Future and Shaping a new world of cities. Panel discussions were held with key experts, followed by pitch demo sessions for startups to meet innovative startups from the region and France, and business matching through qualified B2B meetings to boost collaboration.

The Asia Startup Summit 2023 provided an excellent opportunity for startups based in Singapore, Asia, and France to raise their company awareness among decision-makers from French and local MNCs, boost regional growth, and develop their network of founders and partners. Investors could access a broad range of innovative solutions and identify investment opportunities with the most promising startups from Singapore and France, while MNCs could benefit from collaborating with the most promising startups to access innovative strengths that fit their business needs.
